Artwork & File Guide


Please take the time to read the information below to ensure that you send us your artwork how we

require it. Failure to do so may cause your file to be rejected and delay your job.

RESOLUTION:  File resolution should be at least 150dpi for large format prints at full size.


ARTWORK DIMENSIONS: The size of artwork supplied should ideally be 1:1, however should you need to design at a different ratio please alter your resolution accordingly. ie Actual size 1:1 @150dpi  - 1:2 Half Size @ 300dpi  -  1:4 Quarter Size @ 600dpi  


BLEED SETTINGS: There are only 2 different sizes of bleed for our products. Sizes  A4 and A3 - 3mm bleed all round - All other sizes 5mm bleed all round.


FILE UPLOAD:  Please upload your files to us after your have placed your order. When you upload files please tell us your Name, Address and the order number the uploaded file relates to.         


CUSTOM CONTOUR CUT SETTINGS: Custom contour cutting is available on certain products, the cutting information needs to be a vectored outline. This outline needs to be a solid spot colour called cutcontour on a separate layer. The file format needs to be either AI, PDF or EPS.


FILE CHECKING:  Unless you select the File Check Box  -  WE DO NOT CHECK YOUR FILES -  Your job will go through our system and will only be rejected if we are unable to print your file. We will not carry out any of our pre-flight and quality checks on your document as these would have already been done by you prior to submitting your file.


COLOUR REPRODUCTION: Whilst every care is taken before and during the printing process. Orange Displays will not be liable for any colour discrepancies, or poor quality image resolution, on finished products, where artwork is supplied by a third party. Screen calibration, and computer interpretation of colours and shading may mean that what is seen on screen may not be exactly replicated on the finished product. Customers are asked to provide hard copies of the required artwork, if they feel this may be the case.


SENDING ARTWORK: We can receive artwork in many formats. Please always send a separate low resolution PDF of all artwork so that we have something to check files against.


We have a fast Broadband connection so file transfer is fast. Recommended for files up to 20Mb If you are sending a number of files, send them in separate emails to minimize file corruption.
